Pharmaceutical Clean Room Flooring Completed Within a 4-Day Shutdown
A pharmaceutical customer needed a seamless industrial floor for a clean space that could withstand harsh cleaning chemicals, and had only a 4-day shutdown window to get it installed.
The challenge
The customer required a certified clean space with a seamless industrial flooring system that could withstand harsh cleaning chemicals and support a facility that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The clean rooms also required a custom decorative flake finish.
The installation had to be completed within a 4-day shutdown window. Any delay would have meant lost revenue for the customer.
The approach
Pacific Coast Contracting prepared in advance so the required materials were on hand before the shutdown began. PCC then brought in multiple crews working around the clock, coordinating with the other trades on site.
The result
PCC installed 8,000 square feet of Dur-A-Flex Accelera AC with decorative vinyl flake and completed the project within the 4-day deadline.
